The tale of two Kristens

It's official, I am overwhelmed. I never imagined I would be this busy. It wasn't that long ago I was borrowing my neighbor's baby to take pictures to start building my portfolio. And now here I am, booked solid until the end of January and quickly moving into February! Wow, just wow. Being my first holiday season in business, I honestly had no idea what to expect. I still get all giddy every time I book a new session or when someone places an order, but the ultimate for me is to see my work hanging in a client's home. How silly is that, I know people buy them but to actually hang them up!?

Unfortunately, signs of me being overwhelmed with the Christmas rush are showing. I had a session booked for "Kristen" on Sunday. I call Saturday to confirm and get directions to her house. I knew she had paid me a travel fee but the directions were for just across town....hmmmm. You have a little boy right? Yup.....it took me awhile, but I eventually figured out there were two Kristens scheduled for Sunday. Same name, both had boys, both heard about me from the same place, both requested the same props, booked on the same day. Only one lives across town and one over an hour away. I'm sure I looked like a complete idiot but it worked out, I managed to squeeze in both Kristens. I'm still now sure how I managed to mess it up so bad but I think I got several emails around the same time.....who knows....to both Kristens, I am truly sorry for rearranging everyone and all the late night telephone calls! I normally have at least half of my brain functioning most of the time, I swear!!

Oh wait, it gets even better. When I arrived at the first Kristen's house her pregnant friend was there and booked a maternity session. And guess what her name is?? You guessed it......Kristen. LOL. And now on to some cuteness.....
