fashion over focus

Just a few from our morning walk today. We stopped at my moms house for a few pictures. I have been dying to put Taryn in this outfit and it's still too big but I couldn't resist! She wasn't exactly cooperative and avoids eye contact at all costs. I had a few focus issues and got a lot of noise, I think my ISO was too high, but I had to post these just for the fashion!

For one so small, she sure has a mind of her own....she wants to do what she wants to do....and look at you?? Forget it! Last time she was here she had to pick up all the leaves. Today it was the rocks. And boy, did she sure scowl at the wind (or maybe it was me she was scowling at...but I prefer to think it was the trees blowing just behind me!)

Lots of cuteness and LOTS OF PERSONALITY!!

So cute! What does it mean when you say 'noise' with regards to photography? I am photography challenged.

Erin, it took me awhile to train my eye to even see noise. Noise is pretty much digital grain and can be caused by several factors including underexposure or having your ISO set too high in camera. When you zoom in on your picture an image with noise will have black specks (or colored) and it affects the clarity of your image. Some cameras are better than others in reducing noise but there are also programs out there like noiseware that remove noise for you. I presently just use the noise reduction feature in photoshop but I need to download the free version of noiseware and start using it, I hear its better than the PS version. It's on my list of things to do :)
