boudoir
I am a children's photographer that also does family and maternity, but every now and then I get a call to do something different. Most of the time, it's a wedding, to which, without fail, I always run and hide to a safe place. Weddings are scary, very very scary. It's always hard for me to say no, but weddings, not so much, I can always so no to a wedding! Dark venues, stressed brides, one and only one chance to get it right, no thank you, it's just not for me. BUT.....I have been exploring other aspects of photography, events such as birthday parties, etc.
A few months ago I got a call to do a boudoir session from "M". I must admit I thought twice about it before I agreed. I thought it would be nice to push myself creativly and bring an artistic value to the session. She booked with me several months in advance so it gave me a chance to do a lot of research on posing, lighting and all aspects of boudoir photography, I wanted to be sure I knew what I was doing. I "think" it paid off looking at the proofs, but the real validation will come from my client and if she is happy with her photos. I was blessed that she is absolutely gorgeous too. So with "M's" permission I am posting one of my favorites from her session....
