lather, rinse, repeat
It's 2:10 am. My life resembles something I don't quite recognize. I had heard other photographers mention the "holiday rush" but don't think I was fully prepared or had a true understanding of it. I do now. My days are filled with glassy eyes, quick doses of caffeine and a long list of things to do.
shoot, download, upload, proof, upload, order, invoice, package, distribute, repeat
I feel like that bad blonde joke about the girl who never leaves the bathroom because she literally follows the instructions on the bottle of shampoo.....lather, rinse, repeat.....lather, rinse, repeat.....hehe
Good thing is, I have a game plan, and it's working. Cappuccino. All good plans start with cappacino. I have actually had to close myself behind a door a few times once Jason gets home just so I can get some uninterrupted work time in, which is something I never do, I usually work during naptime or after the kids are in bed for the night. But as much work as the holiday rush has been, it's been even more fun. I have had the chance to meet and photograph some wonderful families. Never in a million years did I ever think I would have to turn prospective clients away, and unfortunately that has happened during the holiday rush. And believe me when I say this but I am shocked....I am booked through February. I think I have one last slot open that month. Wow....just wow.
It still amazes me to think that I have only been in business for a few short months! A few exciting things are coming in the next month or so for Giggles~n~Grins Photography. My business is growing and changing and I am excited to share with all of you very soon.
In the meantime, back to my cappacino I go, I'm off to proof. The rush will be over soon but in the meantime, I'm lovin every minute of it!
ps ~ I've been holding back a little posting teasers because I know the family of some of my clients visit the blog. I don't want to spoil anyone's Christmas gift! I'll do a massive post of Christmas stuff on the 26th though!

Hey Lynds, I really hope you can get some rest..but, am also so happy for you. I knew you could do it, you are so talented! I think in order to rest, you need a little vacation in Oregon...oh, and did I mention to bring your camera? Should be a great "vacation"!
I just had to tell you I am not suprised at all that your business is doing so well. I first saw your work on 2peas and you are amazingly talented and gifted! Thanks for sharing your beautiful photography with the rest of us! ~Destiny
